This laptop is pretty old now but really hasn't had that much use. I ran a restore from Veeam from the day before and the same thing happened. When the server rebooted, it went into 'preparing automatic repair' mode. Does anyone have any ideas on what I might have done and/or how I can fix it? Have a 2016 STD server that is running Exchange (Hybrid mode) and yesterday evening, I ran Windows updates like normal. Then I disabled secure boot and also changed the boot priority order. For example, a lot of the options were greyed out so I assigned some passwords in the security section. I had to change a few things in the BIOS so I could try some of these things. I haven't been able to access that again. I think it said something went wrong and it needs to restart or close. ![]() ![]() I think there was just a couple, and one was to try and roll it back to an earlier time or something like that (which I selected), but it didn't work. Windows does not load after BIOS update Don t forget to like and subscribe. Actually, using the power on off method I did get into recovery once, but I don't think it gave me all the usual options. STUCK IN BIOS LOGO FIX Download previous BIOS version Check if your computer. I can't get into Windows Recovery via any means (powering on and off, Installation media on USB or DVD). It will then restart and do the same thing again over and over. ![]() Now I turn it on and get the Acer logo with "Preparing automatic repair" and it goes to a blue screen that says something went wrong and it needs to restart and a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA error. 'The upgrade option isnt available if you start your computer using the installation media. 'Open USB through automatic repair > Next > Install now > I dont have a product key > Windows 11 Home > Accept Ts & Cs > Upgrade'. I tried to turn it back on and I can't remember exactly what happened, but I think it attempted some sort of recovery and ended up freezing again and I powered it off again. Generally, when your device displays 'Preparing Automatic Repair,' it should proceed to 'Diagnosing your PC,' and you might then see a blue 'Automatic Repair' or 'Recovery' screen. This takes me to the options 'Troubleshoot' and 'Turn off your PC'. I waited ages and eventually had to turn it off via the power button. I was doing some browsing online and it froze.
